The fellowship position within Interventional Cardiology is heavily dedicated to research. The unit has leading investigators in carotid and peripheral vascular occlusive disease.

It also has seasoned investigators in revascularization techniques with reperfusion strategy for acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and acute coronary syndromes, as well as pharmacologic approaches to restenosis, arrhythmia, heart failure and preventive cardiology techniques.

Fellows devote about 25 percent of their time to research.
