Biography

Dr. Cardozo is originally from the state of Michigan. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Michigan (1997-2001), and medical school training at Wayne State University (2001-2005). He spent his internal medicine residency training at University of Illinois-Chicago Medical Center (2005-2008), and subsequently finished his general cardiology training at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center (2008-2011). During that time he was honored as the cardiology fellow of the year in 2011-12.

Current projects include evaluating ultra-sensitive troponin assays in septic patients in the intensive care unit, and comparison of types and properties of saline in the evaluation of Patent Foramen Ovale (PFOs).
