Biography

Theodore L. Schreiber, M.D., is Chief of the Division of Cardiology and the President of the DMC Cardiovascular Institute at the Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan, USA.  Additionally, he is the Specialist-in-Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine, a Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine and Clinical Director of Cardiology for the Detroit Medical Center.

Dr. Schreiber also oversees the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program at Harper University Hospital as the Director and has mentored hundreds of young physicians and medical students whose interest is in the field of cardiology.

A graduate of Cornell Medical School in New York, Dr. Schreiber received his cardiology and interventional cardiology training at Cornell Medical Center and William Beaumont Hospital, respectively.Dr. Schreiber's areas of special expertise are circulatory support for high risk intervention and transcatheter valve therapies. He has published extensively and has been the Principal Investigator in numerous clinical studies, the most recent being Medtronic's CoreValve Worldwide Clinical Study. Dr. Schreiber is married and has two adult children and two dogs.
